Getty Images IndyCar’s second longest team and sponsor partnership was renewed through 2015, A.J. Foyt Racing announced Tuesday.
Foyt’s squad will carry the ABC Supply Co. Inc. colors for at least another three years. The team first partnered together in 2005 when A.J. Foyt’s grandson A.J. Foyt IV was the team’s driver.
“Personally, I’m thrilled that we’re able to continue our relationship with ABC Supply because they have been a very loyal and supportive sponsor, not just of our team but also of the (IZOD) IndyCar Series,” Foyt said in a release. “While they are always professional in their dealings with us, they feel more like family to me. We have a lot of fun at the track and at their company events. Their support has meant a lot to me over the years.”
Takuma Sato takes up residence in Foyt’s legendary No. 14 Dallara-Honda this year. He replaces Mike Conway, who left the team just before the 2012 season finale at Auto Club Speedway as he no longer wanted to participate in oval races.
