#7 Sebastien Bourdais

  • Team: Dragon Racing
  • Engine: Chevrolet
  • Sponsors: TrueCar/McAfee
  • 2012: 25th Place, 1 Top Five

2012 WRAP: Bourdais played the “giant killer” role as much as possible in his 11 2012 starts. It began with an incredible drive from 17th to ninth in a Lotus-engined car at Barber (their only top-10 result), and also featured a fourth place at Mid-Ohio. Results went begging at Detroit, Toronto and Baltimore due to circumstances outside his control once he had access to a Chevrolet engine.

2013 OUTLOOK: Few serious IndyCar observers would argue Bourdais against being one of the top drivers in the series, and like Justin Wilson he has to make the most of the circumstances in a smaller team. He showed flashes of what he can do in 2012 and with a full season and Chevrolet engines, expect podiums and perhaps a return to victory lane for the four-time Champ Car series champion.

Is he still driving? Lol, I don’t know about IRL and it’s F1 rejects who seem to do well. I mean, isn’t Sato like some sort of top driver too?

I don’t know what the future holds for IRL, ovals are soooo lame, and F1 seems to be serious about North America this time around… who wants to watch Chevy when you could be watching Ferrari? Plus having one manufacturer or eleven? And car developement. Not to mention the performace differences. Really, a dark future for IRL. GP2 is more entertaining, tbf.

Bordais has 31 Indycar victories and he’s only 34 years old so to answer your question… yes, he is still driving.
