NASCAR Bowyer Sponsor Auto Racing AP

Clint Bowyer’s sponsor for the NRA 500 at Texas Motor Speedway will actually carry a message promoting firearm safety.

The No. 15 Michael Waltrip Racing Toyota, usually adorned in 5 Hour Energy colors, will carry Gander Mountain Co. signage at Texas. The national outdoor retailer will feature the message: “With Rights Comes Responsibility: Secure Your Firearms.”

Bowyer, an active outdoorsman and gun owner, practices what he’ll be preaching.

“A lot of the people that have guns say that they’re practicing these things,” Bowyer told the AP. “Truth be told, if you go and check yourself, you can usually do a lot more. That’s the biggest thing.”

The whole gun control debacale is so stupid. A lot more people would die in our society if guns are removed from those who act responsibly. I can just see people calling the cops to come to a gang shootout, bank robbery or drug deal – while only carrying billy clubs…

Most people don’t have a clue in the world. They think passing some law is going to fix the problems of society. We seen how well that works with illegal immigration, drugs, digital crimes, etc. Until you take the criminals and the braind dead out of society and place them in secured environments where they can’t attack the general populace, there will always be major issues with these people. It’s not the guns or PCs that cause the problems it’s those devices in the hands of the evil that cause problems. You can’t eliminate guns any more than you can eliminate PCs or drugs or hackers or illegal aliens, so deal with the real problem and stop the knee-jerk, feel good, worthless laws that do nothing to fix the real problem.
