Apr 11, 2013, 5:00 PM EDT

Viewers in the United States will be able to watch the Chinese Grand Prix via live streaming this weekend.

Free Practice 2, qualifying and the race will be available via NBC Sports Live Extra this weekend, giving viewers additional ways to watch the sessions thanks to the new service.

NBC Sports Live Extra is a service offered through participating cable, satellite and telco TV providers that allows you access to watch NBC Sports coverage of live events from NBC and NBCSports Network across and through NBCSports Live Extra Applications available for IOS and select Android devices.

The rest of the season will also be live streamed via the service, which now means that Formula One fans can watch on the action when on the move. Any sessions shown live on one of NBC’s channels will be available on NBC Sports Live Extra.

Uh-oh, productivity for the European races just went way down if I can stream practice while working…

      And Qualifying?

    @ ditto65 yes qualifying.

@ NBCsports, perhaps you should update your web page with the correct time information. FP 2 starts at 2 am ET 11 pm PT, your site currently states that you will have live stream at 11 pm ET, which would be the last half hour of FP1
