Qualifying may have seen reduced running as teams looked to save their tires, but the race is shaping up to be a battle between sheer pace and strategy, making predicting a winner incredibly difficult. Polesitter Lewis Hamilton went unchallenged in qualifying, yet with Kimi Raikkonen, Fernando Alonso and teammate Nico Rosberg lurking in the shadows, this race is far from over. All eyes will be on Sebastian Vettel who will start on the harder tire, and may have the upper hand despite starting down in P9. The world champion’s teammate, Mark Webber, may start from the back, but he will be hoping to repeat his 2011 result which saw him charge from 18th to 3rd in the race – relying multi 21 doesn’t rear its head once again.
