Reprimand for Rosberg after yellow flag infringement

Nico Rosberg has been handed a reprimand after failing to slow under yellow flags during today’s British Grand Prix.

The Mercedes driver won the race by just 0.7 seconds from Mark Webber after both Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel suffered from tire and gearbox failures respectively, claiming the third win of his career and second of the season.

However, at 16:07, the stewards confirmed that they wanted to speak to Rosberg at 16:40 for “appearing to not slow for Yellow Flags in turns 3 to 5 at 14:06.”

This appeared to threaten Rosberg’s win, with a time penalty dropping him off the podium and handing a third Silverstone victory to Mark Webber.

At around 17:20 though, the stewards confirmed that they had handed the German driver a reprimand, and nothing more.

I wish I could have watched the race. NBCS showed the tour de france here instead.

Horrible. NBC doesn’t air race live in Detroit, then gives away result when they are supposed to air taped @11:30 est. don’t air the race, instead have some tour de France show at 11:30, then air 15 mins later, which doesn’t match tv listing.

Guys, get it together. American f1 fans deserve better. If you can’t, pls give rights back to Speed.

Once again NBC Sports shows their contempt for the F1 fan by not showing the race live. Scheduling it for 9:30 MDT and then being 15 minutes late with the start. And when viewers tuned in at the scheduled time, we get a recap showing the podium for the Race, once again ruining the race for fans. Please give the coverage back to SPEED.

It was shown on CNBC, as advertised. It’s back to NBCSP next week until the Tx GP in nov.

Actually, the NBCsports website tv schedule shows that next week German GP is also on CNBC. Many people were confused by CNBC listings on major providers that showed “track and field” at 7:30 as “British Athletics Grand Prix” track and field event at race time. If you search “Motorsports” category or “Formula 1″ you would NOT have found the live race coverage.

NBC Sports is a disgrace. I switched back from watching the LIVE broadcast of the 6 hour at the glen, only to find the race half over. Maybe they should have had someone say, on air, that the coverage is delayed, instead of giving us highlights & RESULTS! Unacceptable. At least Speed Channel showed the races LIVE with a replay, later in the day.

FFS stop spamming all the articles with this crap. We were warned about this being on CNBC a long time ago…it was listed as British Athletics Grand Prix track and field on my DVR so I pressed record…I don’t get it…so you didn’t pay attention and now you have to vent here?

I watched half of the race on a Spanish channel before I was told it was on cnbc.
