The relationship between Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber has been far from friendly over the past three years, with the two drivers clashing on more than one occasion despite being teammates. However, it appears that their feud is not a thing of the past with German publication Bild today reporting that Vettel was absent from Webber’s leaving party.

Webber has taken the decision to retire from Formula One at the end of the season, favoring a move to Porsche’s new LMP1 programme that will see him race in the 24 Hours of Le Mans next year. Therefore, at his final grand prix in Europe, the Australian driver decided the hold a small gathering on the upper level of the Red Bull Energy Station at Monza. F1 drivers and team bosses were all invited along, with the likes of Ross Brawn, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso all attending.

However, Vettel was spotted by NBC Sports’ pit reporter Will Buxton sitting alone, with Bild reporting that the German driver stayed on the lower level of the Energy Station playing on his phone instead of joining the festivities.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time Vettel has not attending an event for Webber, choosing not to join the small party held for the Australian driver’s 200th grand prix earlier on in the season along with team advisor Dr. Helmut Marko.

…you might be able to handle a racecar well, young mr vettel but it’s obvious you are ‘clue nada’ when it comes to handling life itself…abundent lack of class considering that it was usually your aggressive behavior that led to the rift…

And why are we blaming Vettel for this? Mark has said time and again how much he doesn’t like Seb (Top Gear most recently) so how do we know he didn’t tell Vettel to stay away? I’d bet he did. But no, more Vettel hate.

Webber is a poor sport, has been since he joined Jaguar… always has had a chip on his shoulder for not getting into F1 sooner and for sucking every single year, even in 2009 when he couldn’t even beat new teamie that was SOOOOOOO much more inexperienced. Just remember who was/is ALWAYS the first one to cry foul or beg for the race to be stopped because it’s raining. Real racers race. Webber makes excuses.

Good riddance. I was invited, so was the Hoff, but we went drinking with Kimi instead. Does that makes us poor sports?

Even Dieter said NUMEROUS times they only kept him due to his nationality. Look it up beofre you try and troll. ;)

It was a better party without Seb. Loved hearing the fans at the last couple races booing his poor behavior, he acts like a spoiled child and thats how RB treats him.
