Cisneros survives wild ride in ALMS crash at VIR (VIDEO)

Oct 5, 2013, 5:25 PM EDT

Two Porsche drivers survived a wild ride after contact in today’s American Le Mans Series race at Virginia International Raceway. Contact between the No. 48 Paul Miller Racing Porsche 911 GT3 RSR (GT) and Eduardo Cisneros in the No. 31 NGT Motorsport Porsche GT3 Cup car (GTC) occurred at the esses, and sent Cisneros on an unbelievable ride before landing on the tire barriers.

Mercifully, he was unhurt.

Race winners for the penultimate round of the season included Muscle Milk Pickett Racing (P1), Level 5 Motorsports (P2), BAR1 Motorsports (PC), Risi Competizione (GT) and TRG (GTC). More will follow on this race at a later date.

WOW! Glad to see he’s o.k., full speed into the barriers-thanks to the tires there as well.

Very fast and very ugly but everything turned out o.k.

Safety is no joke-their cars and the drivers safety equipment pays off with lives saved every time.

Guy in the black and white Porsche should be banned from the series.

He never even tried to make the corner.

Got himself into a place where no one was going to give him space so he just went ballistic and drove hard right into the brightly colored Porsche.

Total bs driving that cannot be tolerated.

Well, I guess the multicolored Porsche did try to squeeze him but all he had to do was hold his line and go around the corner.

He drove right into the multicolored Porsche and wrecked them both out.

      Stupid stupid racing accident.

I’ve always hated that marshall’s post

I was watching this race live and it was quite the ride. Luckily it didn’t take out that marshall’s stand.
