As part of our weekend coverage here at Circuit of the Americas at Austin, the home of the United States Grand Prix (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, NBC and NBC Sports Live Extra), our Formula One announce team took over the @F1onNBCSports Twitter handle this afternoon. Lead announcer Leigh Diffey, analyst David Hobbs and pit reporter/insider Will Buxton answered your questions.

David, love your comments. Did you know NBC cut your qualifying show to broadcast curling! Please let NBC know they should fire the editors.

I am SO very disappointed on NBC Sports by your lack of seriousness. The coverage of the MOST IMPORTANT EVENT of F1 for the USA and you mess it up!! Starting the coverage late for and Olympic tryout – Curling? But more important, cutting out 1/2 Q2 and ALL of Q3? You need to apologize to ALL your TV viewers!! It is incredible that your editing team, supervisors and managers let this happen.

Curling bumps the United States Grand Prix? You should all be fired.

Pathetic F1 coverage. Commercial breaks are ridiculous even with the “split screen” they are annoying. Thank God for PVR. Skipping commercials is fun but given that you go to commercial break every 6 laps or so and miss two each time , your coverage is miserable.
In the UK there are no breaks and in Canada TSN they do have them but about every 11 laps or so and for a shorter time.

Between all the commercials, Vettel worship and curling cutting qualifying short NBC has managed to screw up the US F1 TV coverage like Obama screwed up health care rollout.

PLEASE SPEED TV GET IT BACK

What was that?!? NBC overdid the number o commercial!
This was a car race, not football that stops all the time! A car race doesn’t stop,
    Didn’t you know that NBC?
What a pathetic coverage… Really upsetting!!!
NBC should really reconsider some changes for the next season or they will lose a lot
of their audience! Remember that Internet is there and we have some other
options to watch the races, from many countries that understand the sport and shows
the full race without any commercial break!
