There’s a surprising amount of carry-over from last season. More teams made it intact than I would have anticipated. My only wish is that we would stop calling the Chevy DPs “Corvettes”. The real Corvettes are in GTLM, and meanwhile the Chevy DPs have multiple chassis, it would be interesting to know which one they were using.

It’s a good point. I have to work hard to avoid getting bloody confused on the nomenclature of each chassis per class, especially in the GT ranks where you have GTE and now slightly altered GT3 spec cars with basically the same name.

As for the Corvette bit, until the official entry lists call them by their chassis name (which you’d almost hope they would specifically to avoid that confusion), I’ll refer to them by that name. I believe though it’s Action Express and Spirit of Daytona have Coyote chassis, GAINSCO has Riley and WTR has Dallara. They’re just not called as such for branding purposes.

Can the writers/administrators around here give some sort of insight into what causes comments to not post? I’ve noticed a number of my comments, ones that are positive and include no objectionable content, don’t post. The common thread I’ve noticed is any mention of a driver’s or team’s specific name.

Testover, you’re not alone in that assessment. I’ve gotten a couple messages on Twitter as well saying there’s been issues posting some comments. But I wasn’t sure if it was merely an isolated incident or something more frequent.

I’m not sure exactly if it has to do with being registered or not. The comments are not queuing in the back-end of the site where we post to, though, so it’s not a case where we need to approve them for them to post. They should be posting automatically and I have a note in to one of our technical staff members to help get this resolved.

Comment posting should be fixed, now.

Thanks Tony. I really appreciate how involved the writers on this site are. And I’m really glad you’re covering TUSC too.
