Mercedes AMG Petronas has revealed a fascinating, 360-degree look at its 2014 challenger, the W05, in an interactive on-board camera it premiered Wednesday.

Here’s the link to the camera.

Lewis Hamilton is in the team’s chassis today at Bahrain for the first day of running in the four-day test at the circuit this week. Nico Rosberg will take over later in the week.

Bad title for the article – GREAT VIDEO!

Lewis on a ‘just breaking in the equipment’ couple of laps.

You get to ride along and enjoy the sights and sounds of the new generation of Formula One race cars.

Funny how the gearboxes all sound like a coffee can full of bolts on crack until the cars are pushed to the limit.

Nice turbo wastegate sound off throttle too.

Nice to see the tribute to Michael on the side of the car too.

The camera could be put directly over the driver which would be better but I guess that location belongs to the team so I can’t complain.

    VERY FUN RIDE ALONG-THANKS MERCEDES!
