2-year-old boy goes gaga for GP2 (VIDEO)

A tip of the hat to NBCSN’s Will Buxton for letting us know about this adorable video.

As we’ve written before, a top priority for all of motorsport has been to try and get the youngsters hooked on racing, so they’ll become bigger fans as they grow older.

Something tells us that the GP2 series – one of the top developmental leagues for the Formula One World Championship – won’t have to worry about this particular 2-year-old, whose excitement over watching the cars take to the track is sure to put a smile on your face.

Remember, we’ll be covering the GP2 season opener from Bahrain this weekend on MotorSportsTalk along with all the F1 action in the Bahrain Grand Prix. On that note, Luke’s created a GP2 season preview that you’ll want to check out.

My 19 month old loves watching any type of racing on TV too. Whenever she hands us the remote wanting us to turn something on, she either asks for “Mickey” or “Racing”. She’ll cheer cars on, tell them “Go Go Go” and make “vroom vroom” noises. She’s getting a kart when she turns 4 or 5.
