The first big wreck of Sunday night’s Coca-Cola 600 occurred on Lap 235 of the 400-lap event at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

It appeared that Marcos Ambrose may have had a tire going down, causing him to spin in front of oncoming traffic.

Danica Patrick was close to avoiding the incident until Brian Scott couldn’t slow down in time, making contact with Patrick’s car and sending her into the wall, suffering moderate damage on her Chevrolet.

“Idiot,” Patrick said over her team radio. “I mean, really, who the hell did not see that coming?”

Also failing to slow down in time to avoid being caught up in the wreck, Josh Wise then made contact with Landon Cassill.

The race resumed on Lap 242.

Earlier in the race on Lap 160, David Gilliland‘s day came to an abrupt end when he apparently cut down a tire and slammed into the wall.

What the hell is she b(ithing about. She was way back in 25th when she got hit.She wouldn’t have done any better even if she wasn’t hit.And why are they even talking about this loser. She should quit and let a real driver race her car.Maybe then the team will finally win a race or two.

How the heck was Brian Scott supposed to stop to avoid Danica who slowed down to avoid Ambrose? Come on Danica, stop blaming these other drivers every time you wreck.

No matter what, its alway’s someone elses fault when it comes to Danica. its the car, the pit crew, another driver did this or that. if she was not “ALWAYS” running in the back of the pack, she might be able to avoid trouble. but no matter what, trouble will find her. she is bad karma for any team. when she was in Indy Car, she was the main reason Andretti Autosport was in disarray. and now at SHR, the bad mojo is going on. biggest question is, how long will Go-Daddy stay with her?
