Two NASCAR regulars will be racing sports cars and one sports car regular returns to NASCAR in this weekend’s action at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis.

Andy Lally, the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Rookie-of-the-Year, has lined up a ride for Saturday’s Nationwide Series race. Lally confirmed the news on his Twitter page on Monday.

Now, as for the Nationwide regulars sampling other forms of sports car machinery:

Ty Dillon announced Monday he’ll be in a TA2 class entry for Miller Racing in the Trans-Am race this weekend, the No. 12 Chevrolet Camaro, alongside team regulars Cameron Lawrence and Mel Shaw.

Meanwhile Ryan Reed, who has Type 1 Diabetes, will race in the Pirelli World Challenge race in the TCB class, driving the No. 12 American Diabetes Association/Lilly Diabetes/American Honda Honda Fit for Garrett Racing/Drive4Diabetes. He’ll drive one race and Danish driver Johan Schwartz will drive the other.

Dillon and Reed will still compete in the Nationwide race on Saturday.
