On Wednesday’s edition of NASCAR America, NBC News correspondent Kristen Dahlgren reported from Kevin Ward Jr.’s hometown of Boonville, N.Y.

Kevin Ward Sr. spoke for the first time on Wednesday about the accident that killed his son. Ward Sr. lashed out against Tony Stewart, saying  Stewart was apparently the only driver to not see Ward Jr. on the track that night.

Kevin ward Sr must be just as ignorant as half the keyboard warriors posting about it being how well he saw him is only 1 small factor in a sea of factors and hardly relevant by itself, especially when he’s assuming one way or the other. He’s just dishonoring his son by running his mouth like that

Prayers are with the Ward family, but Tony Stewart should not be persecuted because if the accident. Mr. Ward did exit the car in darkness and as the father states, was probably looking for Stewarts vehicle in darkness. Poor decision. Should not be compounded by making allegations against a driver when you can’t prove intent. Stewarts conscience will tear him apart anyway, but more so if it was deliberate.

A father just lost his son – can everyone just let the family grieve without saying who’s at fault? I think anyone who lost a child might say something they could regret later.
