NASCAR America: XFINITY Series to replace Nationwide Series in 2015

Sep 3, 2014, 6:55 PM EDT

On Wednesday’s edition of NASCAR America, we discussed the announcement that Comcast’s XFINITY brand will become the entitlement sponsor of what is now the Nationwide Series beginning in 2015. XFINITY becomes only the third title rights holder in series history in a deal that will run for 10 years, through 2024.

I hope folks vote with their wallet concerning Comcast/Infinity and CRASHCAR. IME Comcast is a very unscrupulous company with horrible service. This is due to industry monopolies and it’s bad for all consumers.

How many Comcast customers know that Comcast is blocking much of the legitimate international e-mail sent to folks or businesses in the U.S. ? Comcast has a software program that blocks all e-mail from certain ISPs around the world, even though these are often the largest ISPs in a country be it in Europe, Australia, etc. This illegal e-mail blockage that few Comcast customers even know about started in the Fall of 2013 without any announcement to customers.

I personally have requested that the Federal Trade Commission and the State AG file a cease and desist order to stop this illegal blocking of international e-mail for U.S. Comcast customers. If you have the desire to communicate with friends, family or businesses outside the U.S. for travel, etc. you should also contact the FTC and your state AG’s office to demand a cease and desist order against Comcast for the illegal blocking of legitimate international e-mail that you are paying for.
